 HF/VHF/UHF DIGITAL RADIO

The SkySweep Data Radio System offers high speed radio data and voice communications over HF/VHF/UHF bands for demanding professional applications.

The SkySweep IP Data Radios offer an up to 1 Mbit/s IP over radio system for VHF/UHF bands. This increases the connectivity range to until now unreached possibilities with your existing IP applications. Just connect and get the experience of the unchallenged high data rates!

The SkySweep Voice and Data radios are optimized for command and control applications for HF/50 MHz and VHF/UHF bands. They provide wide range of applications and up to 40 kbit/s data rate. The applications are E-mail, instant messaging (chat), secure digital voice, high capacity GPS based tracking and flexible data. STANAG 5066 based systems are optimized for command and control type of applications.

The SkySweep portable PDAs and radio controllers offer ready to use portable PDAs and radio data controllers for customer's existing HF/VHF/UHF radios. Wide range of applications and up to 100 kbit/s data rates are provided. The applications are E-mail, instant messaging (chat), secure digital voice, GPS based tracking and flexible data.

Streamlined Embedded Technologies

Streamlined Embedded Technologies, LLC. (SET) is a new technology company that has been spun out from the Maryland DSPCAD Research Group (DSPCAD Group) of the University of Maryland Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Institute for Advanced Computer Studies in College Park, MD, and launched in collaboration with the Maryland Technology Enterprise Institute. Research in the DSPCAD Group is of great interest to industry, and has been supported by leading companies, including Agilent Technologies, National Instruments, Northrop Grumman, the Semiconductor Research Corporation, and Texas Instruments. SET is part of the highly selective National Science Foundation (NSF) Innovation Corps program, which is meant to commercialize some of the most promising NSF-funded research innovations.

SET provides optimized signal processing solutions that enable deployment of advanced functionality for processing, communicating, and managing images, video streams, and various other forms of sensor data. SET seeks to provide richer and more efficient forms of information exchange for users of communication networks. SET's cooperating tablet, smartphone, desktop computer, and cloud-based applications enable deployment of such enhanced information exchange capabilities for a variety of communication networks, including networks in the domains of public safety, surveillance, hospitality, and building automation.

SET's signal processing solutions are developed and optimized using proprietary dataflow-based design technology, which builds on extensive research in the DSPCAD Group. Dataflow is a graphical formalism that provides a unified framework for design and implementation signal processing applications, including applications for processing signals associated with wireless communication, images, video streams, and arbitrary kinds of devices for sensing and monitoring. SET's unique dataflow-based approach allows SET to provide solutions that deliver enhanced functionality, quality, and energy efficiency. The approach also enables seamless integration with a wide variety of tablet computers, smartphones, sensors, actuators, and communication protocols. This allows network users to apply the most strategic mix of components, thereby providing the most cost-effective and reliable solutions for the desired application features..
